Food Cart & Restaurant Billing System
Food cart operators and small restaurants write orders on paper, calculate totals by hand, and have no record of what sold or what revenue was made. There is no bill the customer can trust, no record for tax purposes, and no data to make a single business decision.
CAPABILITIES // WHAT GETS BUILT
What this system delivers for your team
Touch-first billing UI for tablet and desktop — categories and items on one screen, running cart with modifier support, instant GST-inclusive total calculation, no training required for counter staff
Multiple order types on one screen — dine-in (table number), takeaway, parcel, and delivery orders each tagged separately so kitchen and cashier always know the fulfilment mode
ESC/POS thermal printer integration over USB, Bluetooth, and LAN — supports Epson TM series, TVS RP series, Sewoo, and all standard 58mm and 80mm ESC/POS printers; automatic printer discovery; one-click test print from setup panel
Kitchen Order Ticket (KOT) printing — order detail prints simultaneously to a kitchen printer the moment the cashier confirms; kitchen staff prepare from the KOT without verbal relay; KOT shows table/counter, item list, and any modifiers
GST-compliant tax invoice on every transaction — GSTIN, FSSAI number, HSN code 9963, CGST + SGST or IGST split, sequential invoice number, and itemised charges; valid for B2C and B2B supply
Menu management panel — add, edit, and deactivate categories and items with price, photo, dietary tag (veg / non-veg / egg), GST rate, and availability toggle; changes reflect on the billing counter instantly without restart
Variants and modifiers per item — define size variants (small / medium / large) and add-on groups (toppings, extras, sauces) with price deltas; staff select at order time; modifier details print on KOT and customer receipt
Multiple payment methods per order — cash with change calculation, UPI QR code generation (Razorpay or PhonePe Business), card via external swipe terminal; split payment (part cash, part UPI) supported
Offline-first architecture — billing and printing work fully without internet; transactions queue locally in IndexedDB and sync to the server the moment connectivity returns; no sale is lost at a market stall or event venue
Day-close summary — end-of-day cash count reconciliation showing expected cash on hand vs collected, UPI receipts total, card total, and net revenue; one-tap PDF export for the owner or accountant
Revenue dashboard — real-time sales counter, hourly order volume chart, top items by quantity and revenue, payment split pie chart, and date-range comparison (today vs last week vs last month)
GST period reports — monthly GSTR-1 export with invoice-level detail (invoice number, date, taxable value, CGST, SGST, IGST) formatted for direct upload or manual entry into the accountant's filing tool
Multi-outlet support (optional) — for restaurant chains, each outlet runs its own billing terminal but revenue and menu updates consolidate at the owner's central dashboard; menu price changes pushed from HQ to all outlets simultaneously
Every build is scoped to your organisation's workflow — features and modules may vary.

CAPABILITIES // WHAT'S INCLUDED
What this system does
Touch-Optimised Order Taking and Instant Billing
The billing counter is a full-screen touch interface — categories on the left, items in the centre, running order on the right. Staff tap to add items, apply modifiers (extra cheese, no onion, half portion), and the total with GST is calculated instantly. Orders can be split by table, counter, or takeaway. At checkout the cashier selects payment method (cash, UPI QR, card swipe) and the bill is printed within seconds. No typing, no mental arithmetic, no under-billing from calculation error.
GST-Compliant Thermal Receipt Printing
Every bill is a valid GST tax invoice: restaurant name, address, GSTIN, and FSSAI licence number in the header; itemised list with HSN code 9963; tax breakup showing CGST + SGST (or IGST for inter-state supply); and a unique sequential invoice number. Receipts print to any ESC/POS-compatible thermal printer (Epson, TVS, Sewoo, RP-series) over USB, Bluetooth, or LAN — the system detects connected printers and routes print jobs automatically. A duplicate copy for the kitchen order ticket (KOT) can print simultaneously to a kitchen printer so prep staff see the order without the cashier shouting across the counter.
Daily Revenue Analytics and Menu Performance
The owner dashboard updates in real time through the day: total revenue, order count, average order value, payment method split (cash vs UPI vs card), and busiest hours shown as an hourly bar chart. Item-level sales show quantity sold, revenue contribution, and gross margin for every menu item — so the owner knows by 6 PM which items moved and which did not. Weekly and monthly views show trends, best-performing days, and top 10 items by revenue. All reports export as PDF or CSV for the accountant.
FIT // WHO THIS IS FOR
Who this system is for
Food Cart Operator / Restaurant Owner / QSR Franchise Manager
A street food cart or stall needing a fast cashless billing setup, a standalone restaurant or café replacing a manual register or outdated POS, a QSR or cloud kitchen managing high order volume at a counter, or a small chain wanting all outlets on one billing platform with centralised menu control
Bills are written by hand or totalled mentally — under-billing from calculation errors is common and the owner has no record of what was charged or collected by the end of the day
- —Bills are written by hand or totalled mentally — under-billing from calculation errors is common and the owner has no record of what was charged or collected by the end of the day
- —There is no GST invoice to give customers — B2B customers who need input tax credit take their business elsewhere, and the restaurant cannot reconcile its own GSTR-1 without a stack of paper receipts
- —The kitchen gets orders verbally or on torn notepad slips — items are missed, wrong orders leave the counter, and there is no log of what was prepared versus what was billed
BEFORE
Counter staff write orders on a notepad, calculate the total by hand or on a phone calculator, and collect cash or ask the customer to scan a saved UPI QR. The owner has no bill record at the end of the day — just a cash drawer and a rough mental estimate of revenue. GST cannot be filed correctly. There is no way to know which items sold or whether a specific day was profitable.
WITH THIS SYSTEM
Counter staff tap items on a tablet, the system calculates the GST-inclusive total instantly, the customer receipt prints in 8 seconds, and the KOT prints simultaneously to the kitchen. Every sale is recorded. By close of business the owner sees total revenue, top 5 items, hourly order chart, and a payment split summary — all on their phone or laptop. The accountant downloads a GSTR-1 export and files without requesting data manually.
KEY OUTCOME
Food cart and restaurant operators using a digital billing system typically eliminate 100% of calculation errors and recover 3–5% of revenue that was previously lost to under-billing. Day-end reconciliation drops from 30–45 minutes of manual counting to a 2-minute review of the auto-generated summary.
